The SharePoint Feeder for the Google Search Appliance (SFGSA) is a .NET based service that utilizes the Google Search Appliance API feeder, which uses the SharePoint .NET APIs to crawl and feed meta-data-urls to a Google Search Appliance.

Because of our extensive experience, we have recognized the issues that may arise from the amount of SharePoint web application content. This recognition led to the development of the SharePoint Feeder.

The Google Enterprise SharePoint connector is based on Web Services, as is our GSS. There are sparsely documented bugs in the SiteData web service and other services as well. The SiteData web service does not work for SharePoint web applications with over 1000 sub-sites.
